Ryan Jacobi - Drumset

             Ryan grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, studying
drum set and percussion with Jerry Steinhilber, Bret Kuhn, Tom Hipskind, Bob
Rummage, and Joel Spencer. In high school he was involved with every performing
ensemble and traveled to Orlando, Louisville, New York, and several Chicagoland
locations with those groups. In 2000 he toured Australia with a youth orchestra and
performed at the 2000 Olympic Games torch lighting ceremonies in Sydney, Perth, and
Melbourne. He began his studies at the University of North Texas in 2004 as a jazz
studies major. At UNT he has performed with the lab big bands, jazz combos, percussion ensembles, and steel bands.  He is currently studying drum set with Ed Soph.
